Hey, I'm Ryan Booher from the Fairview teen council. Not sure why I added my last name. I'm also not sure why I started this post with 'hey'. I mean this isn't a conversation. The only people talking are me and my other personalities. =) Anyways, I've decided to post a list of my favorite books. These aren't in any order, just which ever ones come to me first. I won't tell you what happens in the books, mainly because I'd get bored of that, but I will give a short blip about why I like it.
Nick and Norah's infinite playlist, by Rachel Cohn. This is a good, funny book, and is based around music, which I love. It does have quite a bit of bad language, and some adult type material, so if you don't like that, you may not want to read this book.
The Wheel of Time series, by Robert Jordan. I'm an avid fantasy reader, so when I found this series, it was like JACKPOT!! There are 11 books written, with a 12th on the way, and the shortest book in the series is just under 700 pages. AWESOME!!! Okay, moving on.
Right Behind You, by Gail Giles. I wrote a book report that was posted on the blog, so hopefully that will be enough explanation.
Gregor the Overlander, by Suzanne Collins. This is the first in a series. These are short, fun books to read. They are for younger kids (I think) but I still like them.
Thirteen Reasons Why, by Jay Asher. This book is kinda depressing, but it is one of the best books I've read. I think that everyone should read this book.
The Red Glass, by Laura Resau. I don't really like this book, but it is very good. I know that sounds strange, but just because I don't like a book, doesn't mean I can't recognize when a book is good.
Alex Rider, by Anthony Horowitz. This book is about a teenage spy, and lets face it, who of us hasn't imagined being a spy. Well. . . I haven't, but you get my point. These books are funny, exciting, and good to read if your bored.
Ravens Gate, Evil Star, and Nightrise, by Anthony Horowitz. Another series by Horowitz. These books are funny, exciting, and good to read if your bored. =) I just copied and pasted that.
Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr, by Christoper Paolini. I like these books. Plain and simple.
Maximum Ride, by James Patterson. These books are about flying kids, which I think is really awesome. To make it even better, they have super powers.
City of Bones, City of Ashes, by Cassandra Clare. Twilight fans may like these books. May, may, I said. I'm not going to swear to that. Its not based purely around vampires, but around alot of otherworldly type things.
So there is my list. I'll probably think of some more books right after I submit this. If you have some books you think I should add, or read, please let me know. And I know I said I wasn't going to tell you what these books were about and I ended up doing that a few times, but oh well.
