Book Discussion Groups

Hi Everyone! Have you ever read a book that you really liked, but felt upset that you had no one to discuss it with? Maybe you asked all your friends if they had read the book in the hopes that one had and you could chat about all the things you liked and disliked about it. The Everybody Reads program gives regular folks a chance to read a great book and share their thoughts and feelings with other people. My favorite part of this project is the diversity of the participants. People from all parts of Portland contribute their insight about what they have learned from the book. You can share your own ideas about the book and others can learn from you! This is a great way to build common understanding with other community members. Finally, those of us who have always wanted to share and learn all the great things we discovered by reading a wonderful book get our chance!! Check the project guides for the closest book group discussion nearest you and we hope to see you all there!
