 This is intern Amy and intern Nancy and we will be checking in here at the blog a few times a week to let you know what events are coming up and ones that you might have missed.

This year’s book selection is A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier by Ishmael Beah.  It tells the story of a boy who is fighting in the civil war of Sierra Leone.  It is an important book about the brutalities of war and its effects on children.  The books have been shipped to all the branches this week and should be available in mid-January.  Please check your local library or bookstore to pick up a project guide and bookmark which will list all the upcoming events in the month of February.
