Teen Council Meeting: October 7, 2009

·       Molly could not make it.

·       Began meeting with getting to know each other

·       Oren likes to eat Oreos, he is a junior

·       Henry was late but we forgive him

·       He also left early

·       Fish Pen is the talking pen for this meeting

Code of Conduct for meetings:

·       “Talking Pen”

o      To be able to speak during discussions, you must be holding The Pen.

·       No physical violence in meetings

·       Listen and be respectful  

·       Be productive

·       Be a mensch

Things to do:

1.     Make teen council posters

2.    Teen Council T-shirts

3.    Library decorations

4.    Teen Council book awards?

5.    Duct tape wallets (publicize)

6.    Movie night (teen council bonding)

7.     Pen contest

8.    Rainbow font………….

Programs:

·       Teen Council members tutoring kids?

                                                             i.      Members would specify their specific subject knowledge

                                                          ii.      Also how committed they are

·       Pokémon tournament?

almost no one comes anymore

and no one writes on this blog anymore

last year there were way more entries

anyways i wish more people would come to collect prizes

or coupons

As I walk alone in this cold mist tonight
I wonder if I had left anything behind

There is much more I could have done
But it's too late now
I remember when we use to have so much fun
Before I had fallen down

When I look inside myself
I see nothing but pain until
It just all went away
Though I'm not okay

But I'm glad that I'm still alive

I was just a game to you

I was broken

My heart cannot say
What's right or wrong for me
No matter how long I've waited for this day
I can now finally see

Omg, yesterday I got about 26 people in 2 hours. It was crazy. Unfortunately, most of them came at the same exact time.

two hours and ive gotten 5 ppl c u guys later we should b able 2 get on like facebook or check our emails

Is been an hour and i've only had about 4 people. Yay. How busy...

Anyways, I think we should be able to go on the library website from the database. Just saying, it might make those days when no one comes just a little more interesting.

It's the first day of summer reading, I wish one of my friends would come in. At first there were people, very entertaining, now there's no one, great. So, I thought as the summer progressed less people would come, oh well, I think Summer Reading lost its popularity, oh well I still love working here and reading. We should be able to access Facebook from these computers.

Hey everyone. So the Twilight Movie Party at Fairview is getting planned, but we could use some help with thinking of activities. I know there are Twilight fans out there, so if you guys can think of any games/activites/crafts that should be there, please let us know. We have time and date planned, but I don't have that information with me at the moment. =) Hope you guys will help. I also seemed to have posted this on the summer reading blog thing, and I didn't realise that. Oops.
