3rd Midland Teen Council Meeting

Posted on Sunday November 25, 2007 by Katie Ham

Hello!

So, on November 21st we had our 3rd meeting at Midland Library. We started off with some more introductions (We got new members!), and answered some fun questions. Micheal said his best purchase ever is his PlayStation 1 that he bought about five years ago. Ivy said that if she were an animal, she'd be a turtle because she words hard and eventually gets things done. I said that Paris Hilton is the celebrity that irritates me most, and that if I were a painter, I'd paint abstracts. Ka Chun said that if he was another nationality, he'd be Japanese, and that he doesn't know any jokes by heart. Vu said he doesn't know what he'd say if he was sleep talking, and that some of his main characteristics are being funny, outgoing, and dependable. Linda came in a bit late and missed this section.

We began "official business" by signing our time cards. Then we talked about the MTC flier and talked a bit about editing the one we have now. Then we began talking about designs for the SRP teen game board, which I'm sure you all know has a theme of "Catch the Reading Bug". Designs will be turned in next meeting. After that, we discussed the Lunar New Year celebration, and just did some basic event planning. We also voiced our opinions on possibilities for the teen lounge. (Which is changing dates this January to Tuesdays from 3:30-5:30 PM in the large meeting room.)

So, that's pretty much everything we did last meeting! I hope all the other teen councils had good meetings!

Thanks for reading,

Katie.
