4th Midland Teen Council Meeting

Posted on Wednesday December 05, 2007 by Katie Ham

Hello again!

Time to introduce a few more members, Ann and Ngoc, who are both juniors at David Douglas High School. We're glad to have more people joining! It's getting to be a good size, especially since we started with 3 members! ^_^

We started out with the branch manager Javier coming to meet us. He introduced himself and talked a little bit about upcoming events, which was interesting. We have the MTC fliers and we'll be putting them up around DDHS. We ran over some information for the teen gameboard designs, so don't forget to bring them next meeting!

The Anime Screening Club is on February 26th from 3:30-5:30 PM. We're also trying to book a local band for the end-of-the-school-year-ish time. The Lunar New Year celebration is going to be on February 17th from 1-5 PM, and we hope to see you there! The MTC group photo is on December 19th, as is our "holiday" potluck, so dress nicely, bring food, and don't spill! (<-Wow... that was cheesy... sorry!) We're working on getting our movie night set up on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, but we're not quite sure yet.

Here are the assignments for fliers that we discussed at the meeting, just in case you forget:

Katie and Ivy - Movie Night and DDR Fliers
Linda - Boardgames Fliers
Vu - Guitar Hero Fliers
Ngoc and Ann - Anime Club Fliers

There's that!

And here's a calendar for upcoming events...

Bamboo Candlesticks - Dec. 15th from 3-5 PM
Dance Dance Revolution - Jan. 15th from 3:30-5:30 PM
Board Games - Jan. 22nd from 3:30-5:30 PM
Guitar Hero - Feb. 12th from 3:30-5:30 PM
Board Games - Feb. 19th from 3:30-5:30 PM
Anime Screening Club - Feb. 26th from 3:30-5:30 PM

...so there's that!

Thanks for reading,

Katie.
