-HILLSDALE LIBRARY TEEN COUNCIL-

EVENTS:

Mystery at the library is coming up… who did it…why…when…and how!? Come to the Hillsdale

Library April 16 to find out! Actors and actresses are wanted and teens as well!

FOOD:

On this lovely Wednesday afternoon we munched on popcorn, humongous cookies and refreshing soda. I personally indulged in a peanut butter cookie the size of my hand. It was yummy! I also had a handful of popcorn, which was also delicious and the rest of us munched more on the snacks.

CONVERSATION:

During our meeting we talked more about the teen blog (which means that we read through the majority of the posts…mostly the riddles… and looked at the pictures posted), and discussed the upcoming

Hillsdale Library Mystery at the Library event (It’s in April and everybody and anyone

reading this should come! This means YOU!). Mainly we talked about the prize that we would be giving out. We tossed around the idea of a music gift card, VISA gift card, pizza party and a few other ideas. If anyone has any recommendations feel free to post a response as we are open to ideas! We also discussed parties, mainly pizza parties and cupcake parties (I just think that cupcakes are a great reason to celebrate!).

MYSTERY IN THE LIBRARY:

So here is the much anticipated Mystery in the Library:

The story begins with a mysterious music librarian, Ms. X, being found, DEAD, in the music library on one dark and stormy night. Frank, the night janitor found poor Ms. X and reported the murder to the police. It was, after all a murder, as there was a Celine Dion CD impaled right into her chest. The CD was never the same again, unfortunately.

The police had no leads in Ms. X’s death as her life was a mystery to the town. All that anyone knew about her was that she had worked in the Hillsdale Library for the past thirty-three years and had four cats, all black. She lived in the old Victorian house on the top of Spinster’s Hill alone, except for her cats. She was remembered by many for her dowdy clothing, shapeless dresses, grey hair in a bun and with a finger to her mouth and a “shhhhhhhhhhh…” on her lips. No one could imagine anyone who would want her dead….

So now it is up to you to figure out who killed the mysterious Ms. X. Who did it out of our shady cast of characters, still yet to be introduced? Come to the Hillsdale Library to solve the mystery, have fun, meet teens and win a cool prize!!!
